Robert Pulley was born and raised in the small northern Indiana town of Wabash. His favorite pastime was roaming the fields and streams around his home. There he developed a love and appreciation for the infinite forms and forces of nature. Robert attended Ball State University where he discovered art and the 60’s. He co-founded Sun Hai Pottery and lived with his wife to be in a $15 per month cabin, Dunnerman Hill Studio. Heading north again he did an artist in residency in Portland, IN, returned to BSU for a Masters Degree and moved to Columbus where he taught art in public schools for 31 years and made ceramics and sculpture. He has now graduated to full time sculpture at his home in Ogilville.
